Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions govern the rental of vehicles from Selita Vehicle Rental Ltd. (referred to as "the Company"). By renting a vehicle from the Company, you (referred to as "the Customer") agree to adhere to the following terms:

 

1. Rental Agreement:

1.1. The rental period shall commence on the date specified in the booking and shall terminate on the agreed drop-off date, unless otherwise terminated in accordance with these terms.

1.2. The Customer agrees to pay the Company the agreed rental fee for the use of the rented vehicle.

 

2. Customer Obligations:

2.1. The Customer shall ensure the proper and lawful use of the vehicle during the rental period.

2.2. The Customer agrees to return the vehicle to the Company in the same condition as it was received, subject to normal wear and tear.

2.3. The Customer must provide photo identification of a valid driver's license at least 24 hours before the arranged pickup time and date. Failure to provide such identification may result in termination of the rental agreement.

2.4. The Customer is responsible for the ordinary cleanliness of the interior of the vehicle and for any damage caused by their or any permitted user's wilful or negligent acts.

 

3. Fuel Policy:

3.1. The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and the Customer is expected to return it with the same level of fuel.

3.2. Failure to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel will result in additional charges, including the cost to refill the tank to its original level plus a Refuelling Service Fee of £20.00.

 

4. Mileage Limitation:

4.1. The Customer agrees to limit the mileage of the vehicle to 120 miles per day. Any mileage exceeding this limit shall incur an additional charge of 10 pence per mile, payable by the Customer to the Company upon return of the vehicle.

 

5. Maintenance and Repair:

5.1. The Company shall be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the vehicle, including repairs required due to normal wear and tear.

5.2. The Customer shall promptly notify the Company of any defects or maintenance issues with the vehicle.

 

6. Insurance:

6.1. The Company shall provide insurance coverage for the vehicle during the rental period.

6.2. The Customer shall be responsible for any deductible or excess specified by the insurance policy in the event of a claim.

 

7. Termination:

7.1. The Customer may terminate the rental agreement by providing written notice to the Company at least 48 hours before the scheduled vehicle collection time.

7.2. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled collection time will be subject to a full refund, minus an administrative fee equal to 20% of the total rental cost.

7.3. Failure to provide photo identification of a valid driver's license at least 24 hours before the arranged pickup time and date shall result in termination of the rental agreement by the Company. In such case, a full refund will be provided to the Customer, minus the administrative fee.

 

8. Governing Law:

8.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom.
